Enough is Enough......

Late Wednesday night, Mumbai, India found itself the target of a ferocious terrorist attack
. According to report few young men entered Amchi Mumbai in small inflatable boats on Wednesday Night, carrying rucksacks filled with weapons and ammunition, and spread out to nine locations to begin their attacks. These terrorist just entered and fired randomly over the innocent people and few were taken hostages. It was a war like situation between terrorists and our soldiers, NSG, Commandos and police force. These terrorists have no religion, as no religion will teach to hurt innocent fellow human being. Our Brave force managed to rescue almost 400 guests, but in this attacks 125 people were killed and almost 327 injured, which includes 27 foreigners and not to forget few lives of our Commandos, police force and ATS Chief.

Here in UK, when we got to know the news of this terror attacks we were really tensed as all our family members and friends are back in Mumbai. By grace of GOD all were safe and few of our close family members managed to escape these attacks. One taxi which blasted at Vile Parle was near my house and my family could clearly hear the sound of the blast. I and my hubby we were both glued to the online Live coverage and were not able to sleep for 3 days till everything was over. My blood was boiling seeing the violent terror attack and tears were rolling my eyes seeing the dead bodies of the innocent victims and seeing Amchi Mumbai burning in flames.

This is not the first terror attack this Financial Capial of India has faced. There were series of bomb blast in 1993, and two years back they targetted the Life Line of Mumbai, Local trains and almost 200 commuters were killed in that blast. In this year itself many cities like Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Delhi were attacked, but this was the most ferocious attacks on Indian soil.

This terror attack is yet not over. The aftermath of this attack is going to effect the emerging economy of India. According to a British reports India is named among 20 most dangerous places to visit. The [U.S.] State Department said this year in its annual assessment of terrorist threats that 2,300 people died in 2007 in attacks by various groups in India, making it perhaps the country most affected by terrorism in the world. The consequences of these attacks are going to effect our tourism business drastically. Mumbai being a Financial Hub, foreign Investors will think twice before investing in India as many top diplomats and enterpreneur were inside Taj and Oberoi Towers.

We as a Mumbaikar are always resilient, whether they are terror attacks or natural calamities we bounce back and are back in to our normal life. But this time ''Enough is Enough''. If we Mumbaikars stop being resilient Central Government will be force to take action. We want safe and secured India. We want strong police force and well equipped with arms and ammunitions. A police who is armed with only a pistol or a gun cannot face these terrorists who are heavily armed with AK47 and Grenates. This time we don't want their promises but a solid action. This was a well coordinated attack, the Indian Intelligence services are being criticised all over the world after these attacks. Few resignations in the central government is not going to solve this problem. We need action and assurance for a safe and secured India.

Its time for all Indians from all caste and creed come together and raise voice against Government demanding our security. Lets all hold candle for the innocent victims and our Heroes who died saving our lives.

Yes Purva I very much agree with you. Our bloods are boiling. Some serious actions must be taken. How many times and for how long? It is not the 1st time it is happening, though this time it was very very merciless killing. I was in mumbai on that day and feel the pain.

Yes Purva, this is a terrible incident in 2008.And Indians always lay on the affected group as we are so tender. I started viewing the news very late by wednesday as here in NJ/Ny too there were a lot of rumors on terrorist attack and i was so upse. Shame on these politicians who have very good bullet proof dresses while our valuable soldiers are having some dummy suits.Politicians behave so cheap:(
Good to know that ur family is ok.
Lets choose our ruling party wisely next time.
